This week, I’ll say goodbye to Prairie Business. In the year and a half I’ve been here, we have updated our website, launched an additional annual magazine, won third place for Best Magazine published by a daily newspaper in the Minnesota Newspaper Association awards, redesigned and completely rebranded. It’s going to be difficult to leave.
Putting this magazine together each month is a tremendous amount of work, but I’ve loved it. I’ve learned something new almost every day, and I respect and admire the people I’ve met, interviewed and written about.
Another opportunity has come along that I simply cannot pass up. I will be moving on to become the managing editor of Ethanol Producer Magazine, published by BBI International here in Grand Forks. I’m passionate about clean, renewable energy and this position puts me on the front lines with people and companies working to help heal and preserve the Earth. I know it’s a little corny, but I feel like I’ll be helping save our planet. It’s where I belong.
So I’m transitioning from editor of Prairie Business to reader. My experiences here have been meaningful and crucial to my professional skills and growth.
Time to sign off. Thank you for reading.
